Thousands take to streets to protest against Taliban in Kandahar, Afghanistan

Kabul – Protests against the militant group have been going on in Kandahar, known as the birthplace and the capital of the Taliban. About 3,000 families protested against the Taliban. Locals alleged that Taliban militants were evicting locals and taking possession of their homes. A large number of women also participated in these demonstrations.
