Terrorist module busted in Punjab; two terrorists arrested

Amritsar: – The Punjab police busted a Khalistan terrorist module, operating with assistance from the infamous Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Two terrorists were arrested and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was seized from them. In the last two years more than 30 ‘Terror Modules’ have been busted, in Punjab, and more than 100 terrorists have been captured. Pakistan frustrated with the killing of terrorists in Jammu-Kashmir, at the hands of the Indian security forces, seems to be trying to revive terrorism in Punjab.

Two Khalistani terrorists, Gurmeet Singh and Vikram Singh were arrested during a raid conducted on a Dhaba, near Amritsar, by the Punjab police. Police seized one German-made MP-5 Sub-Machine Gun, one 9mm pistol, four magazines and two mobiles from the duo. Both of them were in contact with Pakistani agents. Suspicious conversations and photographs have been found on their mobiles.

DGP Dinkar Gupta, of the Punjab Police, informed that these two had received orders to carry out a terror attack, in Punjab, from across the border. Gurmeet was in contact with the ISI agents. Gurmeet accepted during interrogation that he had visited Pakistan, three years ago. Police informed that it is being investigated that whom did Gurmeet meet in Pakistan. Charges under various sections of the IPC, Arms act and UAPA have been filed against Gurmeet Singh and Vikram Singh.
