Burhan Wani, who used the social media to incite the youth to join terrorist organizations, was the poster boy of Hizbul Mujahideen, also a terrorist outfit. Putting on record, his objection to the killing of Burhan, who was the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen and was involved in several terrorist activities, Nafees Zakaria, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry alleged that India had committed a violation of human rights. He claimed that Burhan, who mindlessly sprayed bullets at the Security Forces, was deprived of justice. Zakaria even expressed concern over lives lost in the protests following Burhan’s killing.

The Kashmir issue would not be sorted out unless the people of Kashmir have the right to self-determination, the spokesperson of the Pakistan foreign office warned India. Earlier, referring to terrorists causing violence in Jammu and Kashmir, as freedom fighters, Pakistan had tried to provoke India. With the death of Burhan Pakistan’s love and support for terrorists has once again come to the fore, open to public eye. Moreover, for its open and explicit support for terrorists, the Indian government has issued to Pakistan, a very strict warning.

Burhan Wani terrorist“The unrest in Jammu & Kashmir has the instigation from a neighbour for cause. India will just not tolerate support and financial aid to terrorism. Pakistan must stop indulging in this kind of a game; it is just not going to work. Prime Minister Modi has given a clear enough indication that he is willing to negotiate with Pakistan. However, if Pakistan refuses to stop these tactics, India will be compelled to rethink its policies with respect to Pakistan,” said the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Venkaiah Naidu, in a sharp warning.

The last few weeks have witnessed an escalation in terrorist attacks on the Security Forces and on the Police forces and there is evidently a planned conspiracy behind the attacks. The Security Forces have succeeded not only in thwarting the entry of terrorists into Jammu & Kashmir but also in doing away with a good number of them over the past few months. Besides, a huge amount of weapons and ammunition has been seized from terrorists and this precisely is the reason why it is from Pakistan that the local terrorist outfits in Jammu & Kashmir receive incitement to as much terrorist activity as possible. Pakistan also has plans to make effective use of separatist outfits. The effects of this design are becoming apparent in Jammu & Kashmir and so it is in the light of these developments, that India’s warning to Pakistan assumes much significance.
