Taliban warns Turkey of withdrawal from Afghanistan

The Taliban has threatened that the Turkish troops will not be allowed to set foot on Afghan soil. Speaking to a Russian news agency two days ago, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid once again opposed Turkey’s deployment in Afghanistan. ‘Turkey’s support for peace and development in Afghanistan will be accepted at the political level. But the deployment of Turkish troops in Afghanistan will not be tolerated,’ Mujahid said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has been accused of controlling the Taliban. As a result, some Turkish journalists have speculated that Pakistan may be behind Taliban’s stance against its military presence in Afghanistan.
