Syria responsible for the crash of the Russian aircraft, clarify Israeli defence forces

Moscow/Jerusalem: Israel has claimed that it is in no way responsible for the crash of the Russian aircraft in Latakia. It is Syria, Iran and the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, who are responsible for the crash. The Israeli military has also expressed willingness to provide all the relevant information about the crash to Russia. Russian Defence Minister, Shoygu has accused Israel of violating the agreement between Israel and Russia regarding the Syrian airspace.

The Israel military accepted that its fighter jets launched the attack on the Syrian military base in Latakia. Saying that it was not Israel that shot down the Russian aircraft, the Israeli agencies held Syria responsible for the incident. The Syrian agencies committed a blunder, while launching the counter-offensive against the Israeli fighter jets. The Israeli military informed that their fighter jets had already returned to the Israeli airspace even before the Syrian agencies launched the counter-offensive . The Syrian agencies attacked without verifying the identity of the aircraft, which resulted in the crash of the Russian aircraft. The entire responsibility for the incident lies with Syria, claimed the Israeli defence forces.

The Israeli defence forces claimed that Iran and Hezbollah are responsible for the crash. The Israeli defence forces have also expressed willingness to provide all the necessary information about the incident to Russia. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President, Vladimir Putin had a telephonic discussion about the incident. Both the countries have not revealed any details about the conversation. There have been differences of opinion between Israel and Russia even in the past. Israel has been consistently appealing to Russia to reconsider its position of protecting the Syrian government, in view of the security of Israel.

But Russia has not been affected by this appeal so far. Therefore, there was a strong possibility of a conflict being sparked between Israel, who has been attacking the Syrian government, the Iranian locations and the Hezbollah, and Russia, who are supporting the Assad regime. It had been revealed that the Israeli leaders were repeatedly visiting Russia in order to avoid a conflict with Russia on Syrian soil. However, the Israeli defence ministry has warned that if Russia crossed a certain limit in protecting the Assad government, Israel will not show any care even for Russia.

The incidence of the crash of the Russian aircraft has occurred on this background and there are clear indications that Russia is not willing to acquit Israel from the accusations. Russian Defence Minister, Shoygu has accused Israel of violating the agreement between Israel and Russia regarding the Syrian airspace. Russia, through its official communication, has warned that such an action will not be overlooked without a certain retaliation.
