There is a media blackout regarding this matter. One of the journalists, himself, claimed that the media is scared to report atrocities of the Pakistan military. Along with Pakistan, China is equally responsible for the genocide of the Baloch people. One of the protestors alleged that Chinese military, Pakistani military and ISI play an equal part in this matter. Whereas, there was strong sloganeering, in front of the Pakistan embassy in New York, against Pakistan government, military and ISI. Accusation that Pakistan has become a prison for Pashtun, Sindhi and Baloch people, was made during the protests.

Shafi Burfat the president of the ‘Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz’ strongly criticised the atrocities, destruction and genocide carried out by the Pakistan military and ISI, in Balochistan and Sindh. Burfat drew attention to the inhuman torture meted out to people between 16 and 70, in Sindh and Balochistan. Burafat showered criticism on Pakistan, saying that even women and children are not spared.

Burafat read out the list of Pakistani atrocities saying ‘Millions are abducted around the world. But the reasons for abduction are different in China and Pakistan. More often, the reasons are political. Terrorist Pakistan is cruelly torturing Baloch and Sindhi people. The torture of the Sindhi and Baloch youth is similar to the torture of Uyghurs in China. Pakistan military and ISI have a secret torture cell.’ Burafat also appealed at this time that the international community should take tough steps against this Pakistani cruelty.
