Migrants intruding into US inviting new problems, Arizona border town mayor warns

Washington: Chris Riggs, the Mayor of Gila Bend town in Arizona State, issued a serious warning that the health-related, and other personal information, of the migrants, has not been provided to the local administration yet. If this continues in the same way, it will become like a Pandoras Box for the US citizens, where no one can expect what will come out of it. US border security forces also have warned that the problem of intruders on the Mexican border has intensified.

Claiming that the policies adopted by former President Donald Trump regarding migrants tarnished the US image, President Joe Biden had issued ordinances awarding freedom to migrants. After taking over as the President, on 20th January, Biden immediately cancelled the orders regarding Travel Ban and Mexico Wall. The new ordinance facilitated the migrants coming from the Central American countries to bring their children into the United States.

At the same time, there was a massive increase in illegal migrants entering the United States. The local agencies informed that there was an increase of nearly 28% as compared to January. The Biden administration has not made any concrete provisions for managing these migrants and has neither defined any legal processes. Therefore, as per received indications, the situation on the Mexico border is getting out of hand.

The warning issued by the Arizona Mayor seems to be a part of the same issue. The administrations in Texas and the other states also are castigating the Biden administration for deciding without putting proper systems into place. National Border Patrol Council, the agency responsible for the US borders, has also expressed regret over the US President’s decisions. Brandon Jude, the chief of the National Border Patrol Council, lashed out at the Biden administration, saying that they did not find the border situation a major problem until the last week. But now, the migrant influx on the border is turning out to be a crisis. The agencies deployed on the border do not have the requisite resources to tackle the influx. A few days ago, members of the Republican party had warned that there was an anarchy-like situation in the states on the US-Mexico border.
