Israeli Forces prepared to act against Iran, Hezbollah – Defence Minister Gantz

Jerusalem: – Israel Defence Minister Bennie Gantz announced that the Israeli military is ready to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and the eventuality of a conflict with Hezbollah on the Israel-Lebanon border. A few hours ago, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released information that Iran has enriched 17.6 kilograms of Uranium. This is the reaction of Israel Defence Minister Gantz over this report.

In January, Iran announced that it would enrich Uranium to 20% levels, in violation of the nuclear deal. It is claimed that the IAEA’s information makes it clear that Iran is very close to its nuclear ambitions. Simultaneously, reports that Uranium traces have been found in a minimum of four Iranian nuclear projects have also been received. Despite all this, US President Biden is still preparing to sign a nuclear deal with Iran.

Against this background, Israel Defence Minister Benny Gantz announced that the Israeli military is ready to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear state. He also demanded that the regional countries be included in the negotiations, with Iran, for the nuclear deal. Gantz also suggested that nuclear weapons and missiles should be a part of the negotiations, and the Iranian support to terrorist organisations like Hezbollah should also be a matter of consideration.

Iran is a regional as well as an international problem, and Israel is under a direct threat from Iran. Gantz appealed that, therefore, the United States, Europe and the Israeli allies from the Gulf should unite against Iran. At the same time, Gantz warned that the Lebanese population would have to bear the bad effects of the blunders committed by Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah, as Hezbollah is using the Lebanese population as human shields for their own protection.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi accused that despite the appeals made by the United States and European countries, Iran is still clearly showing its intent to achieve its objective of becoming a nuclear state.
