Indian MEA befittingly responds to the anti-India campaign in US

New York/Washington – Indian MEA S Jaishankar delivered a tight slap across the face of the people trying to tarnish the Indian image. ‘Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Indian government supplied free foodstuff to its citizens, equivalent to almost two and a half times the US population. The Indian government also transferred funds to the bank accounts of its citizens, which were more in numbers than the US population. Despite this good work, some people plot to create misleading pictures about India to defame India in a specific way.’ Foreign Minister Jaishankar gave this fitting reply to the malicious campaigns being carried out in the United States during his discussion with former US National Security Advisor McMaster.

Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, certain western media groups had started an anti-India campaign. This group of media claimed that the Indian health system had crumbled under the pressure of the Coronavirus pandemic. This media group was also giving exaggerated information regarding the situation in India. Taking cognisance of this, the Indian Foreign Minister gave a fitting reply.

The Indian Foreign Minister lashed out at the anti-India campaigners ‘India is under tremendous pressure due to the Coronavirus pandemic. But even in this situation, India provided free foodstuff to 800 million people. The government transferred funds to 400 million people without discrimination. Despite these actions, attempt to tarnish the Indian image is being made, projecting deceptive pictures.’ At the same time, the Foreign Minister deflated the anti-India campaign saying, ‘We Indians firmly believe in our democracy.’

More than 600,000 lives have been claimed by the Coronavirus pandemic in the United States. The health system of a strong nation like the United States appeared to be helpless in front of the pandemic. The health systems in the rich and developed European countries also had crumbled in front of the first wave of the pandemic. But in those times, the Indian health systems did a tremendous job, and the entire world was made to sit up and notice. The second wave of India was much more intense, putting immense pressure on the Indian health system. But it has been consistently revealed that the western media group is targeting India given the economic and political motives. Indians are replying to this campaign on social media. Corona has claimed more lives in the United States than in India. Still, the US media are not willing to show the true picture in their country. These media are happy projecting that the pandemic has battered India. The Indian image was brightened, given the assistance provided to the other countries during the first wave. Maligning that image is the objective behind this malicious campaign against India.
