Similarly, he had also lashed out at Israel for its military action against the Palestinian protestors on the border. Following this, summon was served to the Israeli Ambassador in Ankara, Turkey. But the actual order to expel Eitan Naeh , the Israeli Ambassador, was issued later on Tuesday. Turkey asked Naeh to leave for Israel demanding that he should get an explanation for the 60 people killed by Israel in Gaza. The humiliation of the Israeli ambassador by Turkey did not stop here but escalated further when Naeh was subjected to security scanning notwithstanding his diplomatic status at the Istanbul airport. Israel has alleged that Naeh was treated like a terrorist at the airport and has released photographs and videos of the incident.

Following this, Israel also expelled the Turkish Ambassador. A senior diplomat from the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv was summoned by Israeli officials before the press and was asked to explain the insulting treatment meted out to the Israeli Ambassador in Turkey. These events make it evident that a political war has been sparked off between the two countries.
