The Prime Minister said that he would address the UN General Assembly on cooperation, counter-terrorism, challenges posed by climate change and other important issues. He also said that discussions with Japanese Prime Minister Suga and Australian Prime Minister Morrison would make the cooperation between India, Japan and Australia more comprehensive.

Ro Khanna, a member of the US Congress, had said, ‘This visit of Prime Minister Modi to the United States is crucial for the relations between the two countries at this critical time.’ Raja Krishnamoorthi, another member of the US Congress, said he believed the talks between Prime Minister Modi and President Biden would be very conducive for cooperation in trade, investment and production and distribution of Coronavirus vaccines between the two countries. ‘R. Rangaswamy, of the Indian Diaspora, said that Prime Minister Modi is in a very strong position while visiting the United States, as the Indian economy is booming. Rangaswamy claimed that the present scenario in India is a very conducive environment for entrepreneurs.

Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Modi will not be able to hold any big events this time to address Indians. But it is said that he will definitely address the entrepreneurs in the US in a separate visit. Meanwhile, Pakistan and China appear to be sceptical of the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States. Pakistani media is expressing concerns that the Indian Prime Minister will target Pakistan by enhancing relations with the United States. Some journalists in that country have expressed fears that the United States will launch an attack on Pakistan through India to teach a lesson to Pakistan, which is denying it a base in respect of Afghanistan. The Chinese media is warning India not to help the United States on the Afghanistan issue. The warnings from these pro-Taliban Chinese state media have once again demonstrated the Chinese restlessness.
