One soldier martyred as CRPF foil terrorist bid to attack camp in Srinagar

Srinagar: Not even two days have passed from the Sunjwan attack and the terrorists targeted the CRPF camp in Srinagar. Retaliation by the alert soldiers busted the terrorist plan to cause largescale damage. The terrorists had to take shelter in a building nearby, owing to the counter attack by the soldiers. One of the soldiers was martyred during the encounter.

attack-camp-SrinagarThe terrorists had planned to attack the CRPF camp at Karan Nagar in Srinagar, at around five in the morning on Monday. But, as soon as the soldiers saw the terrorists approaching the camp they opened fire. The terrorists had to flee, seeing the soldiers open fire. The terrorists took shelter in an incomplete four storied building at some distance from the camp. The CRPF soldiers besieged the building and the encounter started. Lashkar-e-Taiba has accepted the responsibility for this attack.

This is the second terror attack in the last three days, in Jammu-Kashmir. There was a similar terrorist attack on the Sunjwan army base; five soldiers were killed in that attack.
