Washington: Trump made another controversial statement that caused uproar saying, “We could win Afghanistan in two days or three days or four days if we wanted, but I’m not looking to kill 10 million people.” Trump made this provocative statement while expressing satisfaction over the preparations for peace talks between the United States and the Taliban.
Trump pointed out that the US military is engaged in Afghanistan for nearly two decades now. Trump said further that the war could be finished in one, two or three days. In order to end the war in less than a week, ten million people will have to be killed, and he is not prepared for that. Even in the past, Trump had made a statement that the Afghanistan war can be won, killing ten million people. The statement had created a sensation around the world.
Peace talks are being held between the United States, and the Taliban and Taliban have reportedly refused to accept the conditions laid down by the United States.
