Former US envoy to UN, Nikki Haley, opposes Joe Biden’s plan to rejoin Iran nuclear deal

Washington: – Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, reprimanded President-Elect Joe Biden in strong words, ‘President Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal instead of persuading the Iranian leaders and imposed sanctions to put immense pressure. The Iranian economy has collapsed only because of these sanctions. In this situation, Iran needs funds to attack the US military and support its terrorist activities. Therefore, don’t give concessions to Iran by re-entering the nuclear deal.

President-Elect Joe Biden is eager to sign a nuclear deal with Iran. Biden clarified this during an interview with the US media last week. Whereas, Iran too has declared that it has certain expectations from Biden. Against this background, Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has issued a stern warning to President-Elect Biden through a social media post.

Haley said, ‘Iran wants a nuclear deal similar to the one signed in the past. Iran wants relief from the US sanctions and huge economic reliefs in return for a few US conditions through this deal. Iran intends to take its nuclear program forward by facing short-term sanctions. The Iranian government wants to fund the terrorists in the Gulf and increase its own missile production.’

Haley also reminded, ‘Iran is not a trustworthy and reliable country to sign a nuclear deal. Iran, carrying on Uranium enrichment, despite the nuclear deal, sponsoring terrorism and making announcements for the destruction of the United States and Israel cannot be trusted. Only recently, slogans for the destruction of the United States had been given in the Iranian parliament.’

But President-Elect Joe Biden is firm on the decision to sign a nuclear deal with Iran. Whereas, President Trump has announced that more sanctions will be imposed against Iran before handing over power to Biden.
