A meeting of the defence ministers of the member countries was held at the NATO headquarters in Brussels. It is claimed that NATO-member states reached a consensus against Russia during the meeting, based on the ‘Concept of Deterrence and Defence in the Euro-Atlantic Area’. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said relations with Russia were at an all-time low. Stoltenberg said Russia caused the situation to close its NATO office.

Later, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin and other NATO defence ministers agreed on a plan for a war against Russia. NATO officials acknowledged that there was no immediate threat of an attack from Russia. But it was decided in the meeting that preparations should be made for such an eventuality. Saying that the countries in the Baltic and the Black Sea region are under a direct threat from Russia, it was suggested that NATO make the necessary preparations for a military conflict.

At the same time, plans for unconventional warfare against Russia, such as nuclear war, cyber-attacks and space warfare, were also discussed. Russian government spokesman Dmitry Peskov slammed the NATO meeting. Peskov lashed out that the meeting made it clear that there was no point discussing anything with NATO if they had such an attitude.
