Nationwide Coronavirus cases over 18 lakhs, 20% of new cases globally found in India

New Delhi: The nation has reported more than 2 lakh cases in just four days. Thus, the total number of nationwide cases has crossed 18 lakhs. Currently, more than 2.5 lakh cases are being reported across the world every day. In the last five days, the number of cases reported in India alone comprises 20% of the world’s count. This factor increases the concerns. But, the rate of patients recovering is also improving. So far, 11.5% of patients have recovered and this news is comforting.

On Saturday, the nation reported 54,435 new patients. Whereas, on Friday, 56,000 new cases were recorded in just one day. Thus, the total number of cases in the country is over 17,50,000. According to the information declared by various Indian states, it is clear that the nation has reported more than 50,000 new patients. Hence, the total number of cases in the country is over 18 lakhs. The number of patients is rapidly rising in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and West Bengal.   

On Sunday, 260 people died in Maharashtra due to the virus infection, and 1,509 new patients were reported. Moreover, the Coronavirus cases are rising in Maharashtra every day by 10,000. Hence, the total number of cases reported in the state is over 4,41,000. Besides, the number of deaths in the state is over 15,576.    

Following Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh has reported the most number of patients in just one day. Furthermore, on Sunday, 36 patients died in the state and 8,555 new patients were found. 98 patients died in Tamil Nadu and 5,878 new patients were reported. Karnataka reported 5,532 new patients. West Bengal claimed 49 lives and reported 2,739 new patients. Uttar Pradesh reported 3,800 new patients. Bihar reported 2,762 new patients as well.
