Since the last many years, rebels are creating instability in the eastern parts of India using the land of Myanmar as a base. But India broke the back of these terrorists through cooperation from the Myanmar military on this front. In 2015, India carried out an unflinching action named ‘Operation Myanmar’. Thereafter, India, through an operation run on the political level has succeeded in extraditing 22 terrorists. The Myanmar military had arrested these terrorists in different operations. These dreaded terrorists feature in the Indian ‘Wanted’ List. On Friday, these 22 terrorists were sent from Myanmar to India on a special flight. They were handed over to the Manipur and Assam police.

India has succeeded in getting terrorists from the United National Liberation Front, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, People’s Liberation Army, National Democratic Front of Bodoland. These terrorists will be thoroughly interrogated. India was in constant contact with Myanmar for a year over this matter.

Last year, the Myanmar defence chief had visited India. At that time, he had met National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. During the meeting, discussions had been held over the issues of these terrorists.
