Irbil/Tehran: It is claimed that the repercussions of the blast in the Iranian Natanz nuclear project are being felt. Iran affiliated groups attacked the Mossad safe house in Iraq and killed the Mossad agents. An Iranian affiliated news agency in Iraq published this report and has announced that the photographs of the incident will also be published soon. But the Kurdish government has dismissed the claim that the Mossad safe house was attacked.

A news agency linked to Harakat Hezbollah Al-Nujaba, an Iran affiliated organisation, claimed that there was a Mossad safe house in Kurdistan in northern Iraq. On Wednesday, this group attacked the safe house and killed Mossad agents. The news agency informed that the armed group destroyed the safe house thereafter. But the news agency did not name the group that carried out this attack. A leading Iranian news agency also published the report of the attack on the Mossad safe house.   

An explosion was reported in the Iranian Natanz nuclear project on Sunday. Iran accused that Israel was behind the attack. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif had threatened that this attack would be avenged. Israel had avoided reacting to the incident. But it is being claimed that if the report regarding the attack on the Mossad safe house is true, Iran has delivered a major jolt to Israel.   

The Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, is active in Iraq for the last six decades. In 1966, a Mossad agent had accomplished an astonishing feat of landing an Iraqi MiG-21 in Israel. It is claimed that Mossad Chief, Yossi Kohen, had entered Iran through Kurdistan in Iraq and returned safely with documents and evidence regarding the Iranian nuclear program. Therefore, there can be an Israeli retaliation against the action on the Mossad safe house in Iraq.
