More than 2,500 Coronavirus deaths in US, in the last 24 hours

Washington: The Coronavirus pandemic is proving to be more devastating than a war for the United States, and the outbreak has claimed more than 2,500 lives in the last 24 hours in the United States. The number of deaths has increased dangerously even in the United Kingdom, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced an extension of the lockdown. Besides, the number of Coronavirus cases in Russia has crossed a hundred thousand.

In the last 24 hours 2,502 Coronavirus deaths have been reported from the United States, taking the total number to 60,853. The total number of cases in the United States has also reached a whopping 1,067,382. Concerns are being expressed, as there was an addition of 50,000 new cases in one single day in the United States. It is clear that it is becoming difficult to contain the epidemic. New York has become the US capital of Coronavirus with more than 20,000 deaths. 

The United Kingdom reported 765 deaths in the last 24 hours, and the total number has reached 26,000. The British health department informed that there was an addition of 4,000 new Coronavirus cases in the previous 24 hours. The British health agencies have increased the speed of Coronavirus screening, and the rate of screening has reached nearly a hundred thousand per day.

The British doctors have issued a fresh warning regarding the pandemic. Strange signs and symptoms are being observed in paediatric patients. As per the British doctors, children infected with the virus are presenting with eruptions on the skin. Prime Minister Johnson has appealed to the British people regarding the pandemic. Prime Minister Johnson clarified that the threat of the pandemic is far from over, and therefore, the lockdown was being extended in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Coronavirus has claimed 133,772 lives in Europe till date. Out of these, 27,682 are from Italy, 24,543 from France, 7,594 are from Belgium and 6,504 from Germany. The number of Coronavirus cases is increasing rapidly in France and Germany. Whereas, the Coronavirus has claimed 8,189 lives in Latin America. Brazil reported 5,541 deaths, while Peru and Ecuador reported 953 and 883 deaths, respectively. The increasing number of Coronavirus cases is testing the abilities of the health agencies in Brazil and Ecuador.
