While the Coronavirus pandemic is rampant in India, both the leaders expressed a resolve to fight the menace jointly. At the same time, both the leaders expressed the resolve for joint efforts to build advanced technology during the talks. Meanwhile, it is reported that Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar held telephonic discussions with British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.

Only yesterday, the United Kingdom announced that it would be supplying all the necessary materials to fight the Coronavirus pandemic in India. After that, talks were held between the Foreign ministers of both countries. Foreign Minister Jaishankar posted this on social media. Foreign Minister Jaishankar also held telephonic talks with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. Foreign Minister Jaishankar thanked the UAE for the cooperation and supported extended during the Coronavirus crisis.

Australia announced the supply of Oxygen, ventilators and PPE kits required in the fight against Coronavirus. Australian Health Minister Greig Hunt said that India is facing an acute shortage of Oxygen and the Australian government is making moves for the supply of Oxygen. While all these leading countries of the world are providing the necessary assistance, China also offered to assist.

The Chinese state-owned airline company, Sichuan Airlines, has put the materials to India on hold. Sichuan Airlines closed the cargo service with India at the eleventh hour. Therefore, this material demanded from China could not reach India. This was not a part of assistance and was a commercial transaction. But still, China has not allowed it to be executed. Therefore, it is proved that the support offered by China to India was only an empty claim. In view of the current tension reigning between India and China, the decision of the Chinese government company is politically motivated.
