Israel military retaliates against Lebanese rocket attacks

Jerusalem: – Two rocket attacks hit Israel from the Lebanese border on Tuesday. The Israeli army then responded with artillery fire on the Lebanese border. Israel has blamed Lebanon for the rocket attacks carried out by terrorists. At the same time, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz announced that the Lebanese crisis would not be allowed to pose a threat to Israeli security.

Saad Hariri’s efforts to establish a stable government in Lebanon have failed. Last week, Western analysts and the Israeli government expressed concern that the crisis in volatile Lebanon was becoming more dangerous and a threat to Israel’s security.

After two rocket attacks on Israel on Tuesday morning, Israeli Defence Minister Gantz warned that concerns about Lebanon were realising. Israel did not suffer major losses in the attacks. Israel also claims that Iranian-affiliated Hezbollah carried out the attacks in Lebanon or by Palestinian extremist groups.

But Lebanon will be fully responsible for every attack on Israel from within Lebanon’s borders. Israel Defence Minister Benny Gantz warned, ‘Israel will take the necessary steps to safeguard its sovereignty.’
