Jerusalem: The Israeli Minister for intelligence, on return from his visit to Oman, has appealed to the Middle Eastern countries to increase cooperation in defence, agriculture and other sectors. Israeli Minister for Intelligence Yisrael Katz clarified that the Israeli hand of association is extended to the states in the Middle East to take and Israel is in a position to give a lot to the neighbouring Middle Eastern countries. A few days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu created a sensation by visiting Oman. The visit of the Israeli Prime Minister was an indication of the increasing cooperation between Israel and the Arab countries against the background of the growing cooperation between Iran and the European countries.

Israeli Intelligence Minister Katz visited Oman two days ago, is the next stage of the visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Katz presented the proposals for Israeli cooperation in front of the Omani representatives. Katz announced the information about the tour on his return to Israel. Katz said ‘There is a need for Israel and the Middle Eastern nations to increase cooperation among them’.

Katz assured that the Middle Eastern countries would get complete cooperation for water purification, irrigation through canal systems, agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors. At the same time, Katz also presented a proposal to build a railway line connecting Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern countries to Israel. Katz also suggested that Israel can also offer assistance to the Middle Eastern countries in the area of Air defence. Katz avoided giving details about the nature of this defence system.

Two weeks ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Oman. Even at that time, Prime Minister Netanyahu had clarified Israeli intentions of cooperating with the Middle Eastern countries. Netanyahu had said that there exists cooperation between Israel and the Middle Eastern countries and today, there is a need to strengthen the cooperation. Prime Minister Netanyahu had also announced that this cooperation would be against Iran.

Meanwhile, the cooperation between Iran and the European countries is on the rise. Despite the US sanctions, the European countries are not willing to withdraw from the collaboration with Iran. In this scenario, the increasing cooperation between Israel and the Middle Eastern countries is a fitting reply to the Iran-Europe cooperation.
