Iran nuclear project suffers damages in drone attack; Israeli media claim, quoting Iranian sources

Jerusalem – While the reasons for the emergency shutdown in the Bushehr nuclear plant have still not been identified, the nuclear plant near Taiwan came under drone attacks. Before this, the Iranian military and the government associated media claimed that a plot for a drone attack on the nuclear plant was busted. But the Israeli media said that the drone attacks were successful and that the project suffered enormous damages. As a result, the Biden administration has expedited its moves to sign the nuclear deal with Iran. In this scenario, the indications are that these attacks on the Iranian nuclear projects are the warnings issued by Israel to the Biden administration and Iran.

These include the Iran government mouthpiece, news channels, websites linked to Revolutionary Guards and radio channels. This is causing a hindrance in receiving information from Iran. In this situation, the Iran government and security agencies announced, on Wednesday morning, that a saboteur attack on the Karaj project near Tehran had been busted. In addition, Iranian agencies informed through social media that a drone attack launched on the project, but the attack was busted due to timely actions by the Iranian agencies.

The Iranian agencies had already informed that the concerned drone attack was launched from inside Iran. But on Wednesday evening, an Israeli newspaper exposed sensational information quoting sources in the Iranian opposition parties. There was not one but multiple small drone attacks on the Karaj project. The projects manufacturing centrifuges were the targets of these drones. The Israeli media claimed that the project suffered major losses in the attack. This report could not be confirmed. But it was already exposed that the Karaj project featured high on the Israeli hit list.

But the concerned project falls under the Iran Atomic Energy Organisation. At the same time, the United States, European Union and United Nations had imposed sanctions against the project, as it is connected with the Iranian nuclear and missile program, since 2007. Moreover, Israel accuses that the centrifuges used in the Natanz and Fordo nuclear projects are being manufactured here.

The concerned project was omitted from the sanctions in the 2015 nuclear deal. But two years ago, then US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions against this project. Whereas, Israeli media claim that the Karaj project featured in the hit list presented by Israel to the United States president nearly a year ago. The Israeli media are indicating that Israel is behind the attacks on the Karaj nuclear project. But the Israeli military has not reacted to the report.
