The intensity of Taliban attacks increases in Afghanistan, 23 killed in one week

Kabul: A peace treaty will be signed between the United States and the Taliban on 29th February. Massive preparations are being made for this treaty which will be signed in Qatar, and Pakistan and India have been invited by Qatar to attend this event. But despite this, the Taliban violence has not stopped. On Wednesday, four people and a soldier from the security forces were killed in an attack carried out by the Taliban. Whereas, ten people have been injured in a bomb attack at another location.

The intensity of Taliban attacks increases in Afghanistan, 23 killed in one weekAgainst the background of the peace treaty to be signed on Saturday, the United States and Taliban had agreed to reduce the violence in these seven days. The agreement came into force from Friday midnight. But the violence has not decreased even after this. Nineteen soldiers from security forces and four civilians have been killed in the violence carried out by the Taliban in Afghanistan since 21st February.

On Wednesday, five people were killed in the attacks carried out by Taliban in four provinces of Afghanistan. A bomb attack was carried out in capital Kabul around the same time, injuring ten people. Although no organisation has accepted the responsibility of the blast, there is a strong suspicion of Taliban involvement.

Meanwhile, the Taliban has refused to accept responsibility for the attacks carried out in the last few days. Taliban has accused the intelligence agencies of carrying out these attacks so that the peace treaty between the Taliban and the United States is not signed. But some of the Taliban leaders have said that announcement to reduce violence does not mean laying down arms. Therefore, it is exposed that the local Taliban leaders have been ordering these attacks.

The US Secretary of State recently warned that if the Taliban failed to stop the violence, the United States would scrap the peace treaty. However, the United States has not taken any clear stand regarding the violence in Afghanistan. Indications are already being received that in case of any fierce Taliban attack, the peace treaty between the Taliban and the United States will be under threat.
