These members include terrorists of international repute. Not only that, but the Taliban has also not given a place to other ethnic groups in Afghanistan in its government. Taliban militants have been firing indiscriminately on women that are protesting for their rights. Thus, the face of Taliban terrorism has once again come to the fore. Hence, Afghanistan will become a global hub for terrorism and extremism under the Taliban government.

This poses a significant threat to Afghanistan’s neighbours. Besides, even European countries and the United States would not remain safe from the spread of terrorism and extremism in Afghanistan, warned senior intelligence officials. Thus, United States, Russia and the United Kingdom, which are monitoring the situation in Afghanistan, have continued talks with India. So, the importance of this discussion regarding confidential information has increased tremendously.

For a long time, India has been warning the world of this threat to major countries worldwide. As this threat has become a reality, discussions between the US, Russian and British intelligence and security chiefs with India stands significant.
