India aggressive on the LAC, accuses CCP mouthpiece Global Times

New Delhi: Chinese government mouthpiece newspaper Global Times said ‘India is playing an old game of using diplomatic skills during negotiations and at the same time, the military making aggressive moves on the border. But China is ready to give a fitting reply to India.’ The Global Times also made an inciting comment that India is under the stupor of nationalism. The spate of meaningless statements, accusations and threats, by this Chinese government mouthpiece, continued on Wednesday. Whereas, the tension on the Line of Control (LAC), continues and China has deployed three battalions in the area. However large the Chinese deployment, China is experiencing that it is near to impossible, to act against the fully prepared Indian military. China accused the Indian army of firing the first bullet on the LAC. Global Times had claimed ‘The Indian military had invited a serious situation by firing bullets on the LAC. Therefore, a war-like situation had been created between the two countries. But the restraint of the Chinese military averted the threat.’ Global Times has warned that India should not take such risks in the future. At the same time, Global Times also claimed ‘While India is demonstrating its skill and wisdom while negotiating, its military is making aggressive moves on the border. This is an old Indian ploy and China fully aware of this, has made all the necessary preparations to face it.

Global Times criticised that currently, India is under the influence of nationalism. Therefore, the Indian government has to take an aggressive stand on the LAC. Some combative people, from India, are pressurising the government to take this stand. Global Times also reminded that the winter is approaching and it will become difficult to keep the military deployed in the Ladakh region. At the same time, the Chinese mouthpiece said that Indian Foreign Minister, S. Jaishankar, will be holding talks with the Chinese Foreign Minister, during the SCO meeting at Moscow and there are a lot of expectations from these talks.

In 2017, there was a face-off between Indian and Chinese military, at Doklam. The militaries were facing each other for more than 70 days. Global Times had issu9ed threats to India, even during those days. Global Times had bragged that the Chinese military would conquer Delhi, in a matter of days. But is reality, the Chinese soldiers could not do anything, in front of the Indian soldiers, even in Doklam. China uses Global Times for propaganda war. Global Times has also commented that Indian media are very shallow and they take an extremist anti-China stand. But in reality, this government daily has many times been found to be grossly making irrational allegations against India. There is no possibility of any change in the stand of the Global Times, even in the future. But the unabated criticism made by the Global times only goes to show the Chinese restlessness clearly.

The patient and strong stance was taken by India, had forced China to withdraw in Doklam. Western analysts and media said that India completely superseded China on this front. The current situation in Ladakh is also under complete Indian control and the western analysts are claiming that India has cornered China. The western media are claiming that China is confused as to which action should be initiated against India. The confusion created in the Chinese communist party is reflecting in the Global Times.
