Paris: Thirty-one Pakistani immigrants trying to illegally enter France from Italy were arrested by the French security agencies. There was an attempt made to bring these Pakistani immigrants in France by hiding them in a truck. The truck driver, also of Pakistani origin, has been arrested in the matter. This intrusion is suspected to be a part of a larger conspiracy for human trafficking and the agencies in France and Italy have already started an investigation in that direction.
A truck coming to France from south Italy was checked because of suspicion. The truck was stopped at a check post in the La Turbie region. During the examination, 31 Pakistani immigrants were found hiding in the truck. Following this, the truck driver along with the immigrants were arrested. The arrested immigrants include three minor children.
Only last week, things had stirred up after 39 dead bodies of Asian immigrants were found in a big truck in the Essex region of England. Thereafter, detailed checking of all the vehicles has started in the European countries and a campaign has been started against the gangs suspected to be a part of human trafficking rackets.
The issue of human trafficking and illegal immigrant intrusions has come on the anvil following this incident in France. Over the last four months, many attempts of illegal intrusion have been exposed in the European countries like the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. Despite massive deployment of the security agencies in the European countries, it is apparent that the there is a failure to control illegal intrusion as well as human trafficking.
Since the year 2015, millions of immigrants have illegally entered Europe and these are believed to include many terrorists. Participation of these illegal immigrants has been evident in the attacks carried out in the European countries over the last four years. It has also been observed that masterminds of some of these attacks had links with Pakistan.
