Chinese communist regime will collapse due to new wave of Coronavirus: US analyst Gordon Chang

Washington/Beijing: – Gordon Chang, a well-known American analyst and columnist, said that the Coronavirus pandemic is playing havoc in China. China still has no idea how to stop the spread of the new Delta variant of the Coronavirus. That is why China is struggling to stop the Coronavirus pandemic in an archaic, barbaric and cruel way. For this, China has adopted a strict lockdown option, but it is not ready to counter the pandemic by developing an effective vaccine. Hence, the Coronavirus crisis has led to a situation that Chinese communist regime can collapse’. China has taken this seriously, and Chang has been sharply criticised by the Global Times, the official Chinese mouthpiece.

The Chinese communist regime had patted its own back, claiming that China had successfully controlled Coronavirus. The communist regime contended that China had done what developed countries like the United States and Europe could not do. Also, the Chinese state media was criticising the situation in India caused by the Coronavirus. But now, the Delta variant of the Corona has erupted in China itself and seems to have engulfed Chinese provinces and major cities.

China, which initially hid the information, is now struggling to save even its capital, Beijing. Gordon Chang has pointed the finger at this. Beijing, the Chinese power centre, has been banned from travelling. Authorities are allowing anyone to enter Beijing only after the Coronavirus test. However, China has not been able to control the situation, Gordon Chang said in his article. At the same time, the spread of Coronavirus in the region has posed a significant challenge to the Chinese regime, Chang said. This has shaken the perception that the Chinese communist regime is invincible and that if China fails to stop it in the future, it will have political consequences, warned Gordon Chang. This could even lead to the collapse of the Chinese communist regime, Gordon Chang inferred.

The warning issued by the American columnist seems to have hit China hard. Chinese state-run newspaper, the Global Times, objected to Gordon Chang’s claim. The Global Times criticised that Chang has not noticed that Australia, an ally of the United States, is imposing a lockdown in Sydney to contain the spread of the Coronavirus. The newspaper retorted that at the same time, the Coronavirus pandemic has not been brought under control even in the United States.

At the same time, since 2001, Gordon Chang has been predicting the collapse of the Chinese communist regime, and the Global Times says there is no need to pay heed to his claims. The Global Times alleged that Chang has turned his attention to China out of prejudice in such a scenario. But even before Chang’s conclusion, it was clear that the new Coronavirus pandemic was the worst crisis facing China. The impact of the pandemic on the performance of the Chinese economy is clearly visible. At the same time, there are indications that the measures like lockdown taken by the Chinese communist regime are increasing discontent in the Chinese population. Therefore, it is difficult to completely rule out Gordon Chang‘s possibility that this will have political consequences. But the Chinese regime has appealed to ignore it, saying that it is part of a propaganda campaign against it.
