Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi justified the agreement by saying, ‘The relations between the two countries have reached a strategic level, and China intends to strengthen its relation with Iran. The Chinese relations with Iran will not change with times and will be perpetual. Iran independently evaluates relations with every country and does not change its position only on a phone call.’

Mojtaba Zonnour, Chief of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, reacted that this is an essential path towards freedom from the shackles of sanctions imposed by the United States. Whereas Ali Shamkhani, Chief of Supreme National Security Council, warned that China’s agreement would expedite the process to end the United States. He also said that the concerned deal is a part of the Iranian ‘Active Resistance Policy’.China and Iran sign the 'Strategic Deal'

Israel has expressed concern over this agreement between Iran and China. Former Israeli intelligence chief Amos Yadlin warned, ‘The agreement includes joint war exercises and exchange of research and development along with confidential information. On the one hand, China is opposing the Iranian nuclear weapons, and at the same time, it is not assisting others to stop Iran from making a nuclear weapon. Iran expects China to stop the United States from exerting pressure on Iran. Iran wants security on the diplomatic level. China is fully aware that the Biden administration in the United States is not like the Trump regime. Therefore, China can become aggressive again.’
