Brazil reaches the second spot in the list of Coronavirus deaths

Washington: – The total number of Coronavirus cases in the world has crossed 7.8 million, and there was an addition of 4,000 deaths in the last 24 hours. Brazil has reached the second spot in the list of countries reporting the maximum number of Coronavirus deaths, with the death count reaching over 41,000. Against this very background, Moderna company has informed that the first testing of the vaccine for Coronavirus has been successful.

The website Worldometer has informed that in the last 24 hours, 4,381 Coronavirus deaths were reported from around the globe, thus taking the total number of deaths to 429,956. There was an addition of 139,190 new Coronavirus cases which took the total count to 7,801,127. The number of patients who recovered entirely from Coronavirus has reached 4,002,888.

There was an addition of 9,561 new cases in the United States, taking the total Coronavirus case count to 2,126,483. The total number of Coronavirus deaths in the United States has reached 173,031. Brazil has reached the second spot in the list of countries reporting maximum Coronavirus deaths with 41,901 deaths. The United Kingdom is on the third spot with 41,662 deaths.

There are four countries from Latin America having total Coronavirus case count of more than 100,000, which include Peru, Chile and Mexico other than Brazil. Meanwhile, the Moderna company has reported that the first human trials of the Coronavirus vaccine have been successful. Before this, British company AstraZeneca had indicated to start the production of this vaccine. Along with the United States and the United Kingdom, four major European countries have signed a contract with this company.
