A car in the parking lot of the Serena Hotel was loaded with 90 kilograms of explosives. Balochistan police officials informed that five people were killed in the explosion, and 12 people were injured. Ambassador Rong was not present in the hotel at the time of the blast. The police officer informed that Ambassador Rong is safe and has decided to continue with the program as per schedule. But Tehrik-i-Taliban, who accepted the responsibility of the blast, has given a different version.

Tehrik said that this was a suicide attack. Serious repercussions of the blast are being heard in Pakistan. Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has denounced the attack and said that another wave of terrorism would not be allowed to rise in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistani media started shouting that India was behind the blast. But once Tehrik accepted the responsibility for the explosion, it became clear that the accusation was a part of the malicious campaign being run in Pakistan against India.

It is evident that the blast has jolted even China, along with Pakistan. Some analysts have linked this blast to the US military withdrawal from Afghanistan. The United States will be completing its military withdrawal by 11th September. US military withdrawal is claimed to be a significant victory for the Taliban in Afghanistan. This has added more vigour to the terrorists of Tehrik, considered to be allies of the Afghan Taliban, in Pakistan. International analysts claim that once the US military is withdrawn from Afghanistan, the terrorists from Tehrik and other organisations will consistently carry out such saboteur activities.

Some analysts claimed that this blast was carried out to warn against the Chinese investment in Pakistan and Iran. China has started huge investments in the Balochistan province, and the Baloch people are against it. The Baloch rebel organisations have issued stern warnings to China against these investments. But China is trying to dismantle this opposition with the help of the Pakistan military. It is being said that this could be connected to the blast. Simultaneously, a possibility is being predicted that this blast was carried out to jolt the USD 400 billion Chinese investment in Iran. Balochistan shares its border with Iran, and the Iranian fuel will be reaching China through this region. Therefore, it is also claimed that the powers opposed to this investment have issued a warning to China with this blast.

The terrorist organisations Taliban and Al-Qaeda had denounced the inhuman Chinese atrocities against the Uyghur Muslims in China’s Xinjiang province. Some analysts also reminded of this. Therefore, some people predicted that these terrorist organisations could have carried out this blast to teach China a lesson. The Pakistani journalists and analysts are criticising that instead of adopting a firm stand against the terrorist organisations in Pakistan, the Imran Khan government has adopted a non-committal one. Since the last few days, extremist organisation Tehreek-e-Labbaik has started violent protests in Pakistan for non-fulfilment of their demands. After that, the Pakistan government declared Tehreek-e-Labbaik a terrorist organisation and banned it. But now, the government is in dialogue with the organisation and is releasing its leaders and activists.

There is a resolution being discussed in the Pakistan parliament regarding the Labbaik demand. The Pakistan media has started complaining that it is clear that the Imran Khan government has surrendered to the extremists. Responsible journalists and analysts from Pakistan are criticising that this compromise by the Imran Khan government will result in strengthening and encouraging terrorists and extremists.
