Washington: – Joe Biden, the President-elect of the United States, has indicated reviving the nuclear deal with Iran. A reaction has emanated from Israel regarding this Biden stand. Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley warned that reactivating the Iranian nuclear deal will prove to be a disaster.

Joe Biden was the Vice-President during the tenure of former US President Barack Obama. It was Obama who signed the nuclear deal with Iran in 2015. Israel, as well as the Arab countries, had severely criticised this Obama decision. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while addressing the US Congress, while lashing out at the Iran nuclear deal, had warned that the countries feeling threatened with the Iran nuclear deal will cooperate with Israel.

Dermer, who is the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, since then, reminded President to elect Biden of the Netanyahu speech. Dermer pointed out that in the last few months cooperation between Israel and the Arab countries has improved. Dermer retorted that the new Biden administration will consider the universal decision regarding Iran and will not commit the blunder of reactivating the Iran nuclear deal.

Following Dermer, Nikki Haley, former US Ambassador to the United Nations, also cautioned President-elect Biden. Haley suggested that there should be no change effected in three of the foreign policies of the incumbent US President Donald Trump. Haley warned that among them, the stand taken by the Trump administration regarding Iran should not be reverted and if that is done and a new nuclear deal is signed with Iran, it will prove disastrous. At the same time, Haley appealed that the Biden administration should take the cooperation established by President Trump between Israel and the Arab countries, forward.

Meanwhile, President-elect Biden is firm on the new nuclear deal with Iran. A week ago, Biden gave clear indications to Iran in this respect. Israel and Saudi Arabia, cautioned by the Biden moves, are warning Biden regarding this.
