Syria accuses Israeli warplanes attack on Mezzeh Military Airport

Damascus : Syria has accused Israel of launching air strikes on Syria’s military air base in Damascus on Thursday night. Syrian military has condemned this attack on the airport used only for Special Forces of the Syrian army. These attacks will be given a befitting reply, threatened the Syrian army.

According to a report published by the news agency affiliated to the Syria‘s government, after midnight, the Mazzeh airport in capital Damascus was heavily attacked. Israeli air planes have launched this attack, according to the primary information released by the Syrian news agency. But later the same news agency reported that these attacks were not from fighter planes but were rocket strikes. Syrian army too released incoherent information on these attacks.

Few officers of the Syrian military released more detailed information on this claiming that Israeli fighter planes launched these attacks without crossing the air border. On the other hand few officers told the Syrian state media that the rockets were fired from ‘Lake Tiberius’ located in northern Israel. Although this attack caused significant loss to the airport but no information was reported on causalities.

Syria has threatened Israel after this attack. The Syrian military has criticized the attack by Israel on the airport of capital Damascus stating the attack as condemnable. The Syrian military has accused that Israel has launched these attacks to aid the terrorist organizations.

Earlier too Israel has launched air-strikes in Syria. Last year, Israel fighter jets had launched air attacks near Damascus, destroying a vehicle carrying arms and ammunition to Hezbollah terrorist.

Suicide bomb in Damascus kills 10

Terrorists carried out a double suicide attack in the region of ‘Kafarsouseh’ located in the west of the capital Damascus killing 10 and 17 have suffered injuries. It is believed that this attack may be a result of the conflict between Syrian military and terrorist organizations affiliated to Al Qaida

The explosion was caused near a sports Club. No one has taken responsibility for this attack. However, it is suspected that the terrorist organization affiliated to Al Qaida has carried this attack to gain control on ‘Barda’ region of Damascus.
