India had helped Afghan civilians in the toughest of times, said envoy Mamundzay. However, currently, India is holding talks with the Taliban; Afghanistan is unaware of it. So, Mamundzay refused to comment directly on it. However, while speaking to the press, Afghan envoy Mamundzay clarified that Afghanistan considers the Taliban terrorists. At the same time, he reminded that the Taliban poses a threat to India’s security.

Be it the 26/11 attack in Mumbai or attack on the Indian parliament in 2001, the Pathankot attack in 2016 or the Pulwama attack bloodshed in 2019, the Taliban was involved in these attacks and assisted the terror outfits in these attacks, Mamundzay said. Thus, all other countries alongside India must aptly warn the Taliban for backing such actions. Moreover, the countries must demand the Taliban to break its ties with the terror outfits, envoy Mamundzay appealed.
