Afghan military killed 223 Taliban terrorists in 24 hours; 4 dead in Kabul blast

Kabul: – The Afghan military killed 223 Taliban terrorists in the last 24 hours. The Afghan defence ministry informed that these included a senior Taliban commander. Four people died in a bus bomb blast in Kabul. This is the third blast in a bus in Kabul in the last week. The terrorists launched a bomb attack on a passenger bus in the Chahar Kala region in Kabul at around two in the afternoon. The casualties included two women. Kabul police informed that six people, including children, were injured in the blast. No organisation has accepted the responsibility for the blast. But the Afghan agencies are accusing that style of attack is that of the Taliban.

Two days ago, ten people died in a dual bus bomb blast in the capital Kabul. Both the blasts had been carried out in the localities of the Hazra community, an Afghan minority. Even in the past, the Taliban have targeted the Hazra community with blasts. For example, more than 80 people had been killed in the blast carried out by the Taliban, near a girls’ school of the Hazra community, in Kabul. Therefore, a strong suspicion is being expressed that the Taliban has also carried out these attacks.

Since the last few weeks, attacks on the minorities, girls-women, teachers and government officials have increased in Afghanistan. Locals claimed that the trend of violence in Afghanistan indicates that the Taliban is growing stronger again. The Taliban leadership has openly dismissed the responsibility of some of these attacks. However, still, the accusation that Taliban is behind these attacks is becoming stronger.

The Afghan military has continued its action against the Taliban. As per the information published by the Afghan defence ministry, 223 Taliban terrorists were killed in the actions of the Afghan military in 14 provinces. These include Qari Mubeen, a senior Taliban commander from the Jowzjan province. In addition, 126 Taliban terrorists were injured in the Afghan military action. Fierce encounters are being fought in the Nangarhar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Helmand and Baghlan provinces.

Meanwhile, the report published by the United Nations surveillance team says that the Taliban still has its links with Al Qaeda. The United Nations team has noted that it has been more than a year that the United States is negotiating with the Taliban and still Taliban has not severed its ties with Al Qaeda. At the same time, the report also says that there has been a significant rise in the number of terror attacks in the first three months of 2021 compared to the corresponding period in 2020.
