Action against Kurds hiding near the Syrian border inevitable: Turkish Foreign Minister

Ankara: The ceasefire agreed by Russia and Turkey will be ending in the next few hours. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu warned that it is acceptable if the Kurds retreated from northern Syria as agreed, or else the Turkish military will act against the Kurds who are found in the Syrian border region. The US intelligence agencies have accused that Turkey and its affiliated armed groups have already started attacking the Kurdish people even during the ceasefire.

Turkey has claimed that some of the Kurdish groups have withdrawn from northern Syria, respecting the mediation by the Russian military. Cavusoglu has claimed that there still is a big group of Kurds hiding in the border areas of Syria near the Turkish border. Cavusoglu said that finishing these Kurdish groups is the main objective for Turkey. A few days ago, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan too had threatened to finish the Kurdish people.
