Kabul – In the last 24 hours, the Afghan army has killed 572 militants in attacks on the Taliban. This includes airstrikes by the Afghan military. For the second day in a row, US B-52 bombers have carried out attacks in some states. It is also claimed that US F-16 fighter jets are patrolling the airspace of the capital Kabul. After the Taliban took control of the provincial capitals of Kunduz and Sar-e-Pul, the hovering of US fighter jets over Kabul is indicating differently. The media is claiming that the US has started preparing for a fierce attack on the Taliban.
The Taliban has begun to display their brutality in the occupied territories of Afghanistan. The fatwa issued by the Taliban in some parts of Ghazni province, besides Badakhshan and Takhar provinces, said that Taliban militants could abduct girls and widows over the age of 12. The Taliban has declared to raid and loot the homes of locals and Afghan soldiers who support the Western military over the past two decades.
The United States and the Afghan military have intensified their attacks in Afghanistan in retaliation for the Taliban’s brutal actions. B-52 bombers and C-130 gunships, led by US Central Command-CENTCOM in Qatar, have been spewing fire in Afghanistan for the past two days. The US bombers carried out fierce attacks, in the northern province of Jowzjan, shortly after 6:30 pm on Saturday. It is claimed that the Taliban suffered heavy losses in operation. US aircraft have carried out similar operations in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand.
The Afghan army launched airstrikes in Kandahar, Farah and Nangarhar provinces. More than 85 Taliban militants have been killed in the airstrikes, according to the Afghan Defence Ministry. The Afghan Defence Ministry accused that three al Qaeda terrorists were among those killed in operation in Lashkargah, Pakistani nationals. At the same time, the army has captured a Pakistani terrorist in operation in Ghazni. The Taliban have also taken control of the capitals of Kunduz and Sar-e-Pul provinces in the last 24 hours. It also launched rocket attacks on the airport in Kandahar.
The United States has already ordered its citizens to return home from Afghanistan. Therefore, it is claimed that the US will soon intensify air operations in Afghanistan. Former Pakistani diplomats claim that the US airstrikes on the Taliban will continue only until August 31. Because, as announced by President Biden, the United States will turn its back on Afghanistan after August 31. What will Afghan President Ghani do next? The Taliban will then take control of the whole of Afghanistan, including the capital Kabul. But it is being revealed that the US airstrikes will continue to prevent the Taliban from taking control of Afghanistan, and this has no time limit.
