Five Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists arrested at Badgam in Jammu-Kashmir

Srinagar: Five Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were arrested during an action, taken by the Indian security forces, at Badgam in Jammu-Kashmir and the terrorist base has been destroyed.

The soldiers from the security forces were tipped off regarding the activities of these terrorists. Thereafter, Jammu-Kashmir Police, 53 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF arrested Five terrorists including Zahoor Wani, in a joint operation, in the village of Rizal in Badgam. Yunis Mir, Aslam Sheikh, Parvez Sheikh and Rahman Lone are the names of the other four arrested terrorists. Wani had made a hideout for the terrorists nearly 200-300 metres away from his home. This hideout was destroyed in action taken by the security forces. Arms, explosives and other materials were seized from the hideout.

Wani was involved in securing safe passage of the Lashkar terrorists from one place to another and provide them with safe shelters. Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Nagpure informed that Wani was a close associate of Lashkar terroriterroristsst Yusuf Kantru. These terrorists are being interrogated and confidence is being expressed that the information extracted from these terrorists, will help in destroying the terrorist network in Jammu-Kashmir.
