Counterfeit currency worth 47 crores seized in Pune, six get arrested  

 Pune- The Pune crime branch has busted a huge racket of fake Indian and foreign currency in Pune. The police have seized about 43.4 crores worth of Indian money and 4.2 crores worth of foreign currency. Moreover, one among the six arrested in this action is an Army Jawan. As per the information emerged, these accused would exchange money with fake dollar currency.

The Pune crime branch and military intelligence found out that this racket was ongoing in a bungalow in Viman Nagar, Pune. Accordingly, the police busted this operation by setting a trap. In a raid carried out by the police, they detained fake currency of ₹2000 and ₹500. Besides, they also found the invalid old currency notes of ₹1000 and ₹100. Furthermore, the police also captured fake US dollar currency notes. The other equipment that was seized from the site includes hidden cameras, two pistols, a computer, a laptop, a printing machine and other such equipment. Involvement of a foreign party is also suspected in this activity.    

Shaikh Alim Gulab Khan, Sunil Sarda, Ritesh Ratnaakar, Tuhaul Ahmed Mohammad Ishaq Khan, Abdul Gani Rehmtullah Khan, Abdul Rehman Abdul Gani Khan are the six men arrested. Among these, Shaikh Alim Gulab Khan is an Indian Army Jawan.
