A massive search operation has been launched following the attack. No terrorist organisation has accepted the responsibility of the attack.

Meanwhile, this becomes the third terror attack in Jammu-Kashmir in one week. On Friday, the terrorists attacked a CRPF unit in the Pulwama district. One soldier was injured in the attack. Whereas, a few days ago, terrorists had killed a Police Superintendent in the Kishtwar district. Army Chief General Naravane had visited Jammu-Kashmir to assess the security situation there. But Pakistan is not stopping its attempts to carry out terrorist attacks in Jammu-Kashmir. The Army Chief had retorted that Pakistan is exporting terrorism.

General Naravane had made vitriolic criticism that while India is exporting medicines to the world, Pakistan is exporting terrorism.
