11 Pakistani soldiers killed in an attack by Baloch rebels

Islamabad: – Eleven Pakistani soldiers were reportedly killed in an attack by the Baloch rebels in Balochistan on Friday. Naela Quadri Baloch, one of the Balochistan leaders, said that Pakistan’s Independence Day is the worst day for Balochistan. She refreshed the painful memory that this was the day when Pakistan attacked Balochistan.

On Friday in the morning, the Balochistan Liberation Front launched an attack on the Pakistan military at Kech, Mastung, Gishkhor and Zau regions. The Baloch rebels and Pakistan military came face to face at Gishkhor on Thursday morning, and an encounter ensued. Pakistani soldiers launched a rocket attack. The encounter lasted for nearly an hour. The spokesman of the Baloch Liberation Front informed that 11 Pakistani soldiers were killed and some others were injured. The Baloch rebels succeeded in escaping following the encounter.

Before that, on Thursday evening, the Baloch Liberation Army attacked a military convoy in Mashtgum, in Balochistan. It is said that some Pakistani soldiers were killed and some were injured. The Baloch rebels have already warned that these attacks will continue till Balochistan is independent.

Meanwhile, Friday was the Independence Day of Pakistan. But the Baloch, Pashtun and Sindhi people observed this as a Black Day. Naela Quadri Baloch, President of Baloch People Congress, said that Pakistan’s Independence Day is the worst day for Balochistan. Pakistan attacked Balochistan on this day and now is selling the ports in Balochistan to China. Naela Quadri said that the locals had protested against this. Naela Quadri pointed to the atrocities showered by the Pakistan military on the women from Balochistan.
