Last week, IS terrorists launched an attack on the Syrian military in the Deir Al-Zor region. 20 Syrian soldiers were killed in the attack. After that, Russia launched attacks on the IS bases in the Aleppo, Hama and Rakka provinces in northern Syria. As per the information given by the human rights organisation, Russian fighter jets targeted at least 40 IS locations. The soldiers of Al-Quds forces also are deployed in the Deir Al-Zor and Homs provinces. The number of IS terrorists killed in the Russian attacks is not known. But within the next few hours, 10 Russia supporter soldiers were killed in the blasts of the landmines planted by IS in the Homs province. A reaction may be received from Russia over this IS attack. Whereas, Russia has sent an additional unit of 300 soldiers, to the Al Hasakah province. Russian military announced this deployment. The Russian military said that the deployment ensures that the conflicts do not flareup in Northeastern Syria.

While a fresh conflict is flaring up against IS in Syria, Russia is also faced with the challenge posed by the Turkey affiliated terrorists. As per the Russian defence ministry’s information, the Turkey affiliated terrorist groups violated ceasefire at least 21 times, in the four Syrian provinces, on Saturday. Whereas, Turkey has dismissed the Russian allegation claiming that there was no violation of the ceasefire. Russia has accused that the Turkey affiliated groups are violating ceasefire since the last one week. Last year, there was a fierce conflict between the Syrian military and Turkey alongside Turkey-affiliated terrorist groups. Russia mediated a ceasefire, between the Syrian military and Turkey and its affiliated terrorist groups, following a large number of casualties and displacement of millions of citizens, during the conflict. But it is being claimed that the turkey affiliated groups are raising their heads in front of the Syrian military again.

Meanwhile, over the last month, the activities of the terrorist organisations like Al Qaeda affiliated Jabat Al-Nusr and Turkey supported groups, have intensified. Against the background of these developments, Syria has accused that the US military vehicles have entered Syria through Iraq.
