Indian soldier martyred in a skirmish that took place in Doda, Jammu Kashmir; one terrorist killed

Jammu: An Indian soldier got martyred in a skirmish that sparked between the Indian Defence Force and terrorists in Jammu-Kashmir’s Doda. Moreover, one terrorist was killed in this encounter, while the other has been wounded. The officials informed that a search campaign had been initiated in the region.

The J&K Police, NRA and CRPF Jawans initiated a search campaign in Doda, Jammu Kashmir after they received information about the terrorist base. On Sunday, the Indian Defence Force and terrorists clashed into each other at around 7:30 AM. The terrorists initiated a round of fire on our soldiers. A soldier got injured in this battle. Jammu’s IPS official Mukesh Singh then informed that the severely wounded soldier got martyred while being treated at a hospital. Furthermore, one terrorist was killed successfully, and another got severely injured.

This campaign took place on Saturday. However, the police representative and SSP Manoj Sheri have informed that this campaign is yet going on. Even as the Coronavirus is rapidly spreading across Jammu & Kashmir, the terrorist activities have, however, increased. These terrorist activities have increased dramatically in Jammu’s Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban regions. These regions had been declared to be terror-free. However, there has been a notable increase in terrorist activities in the area.

At the beginning of this month, Riyaz Naikoo, the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, who plotted the murders, kidnapping and attacks on Indian Army Jawan and Jammu-Kashmir Police Force, was slain in an encounter. Following that, an overground worker was arrested too. On 17 April, the Indian Security Force killed two terrorists from Hizbul Mujahideen in Kishtawar’s Dachan region. These terrorists had murdered a police official.
