Forest fires spreading like epidemics across the globe  

Washington: – It is claimed that forest fires are spreading like epidemics in various parts of the world. Earlier, the spread of epidemics was compared to the forest fires, but now the fires are being compared to the spread of an epidemic. An article published in the United States says that preventive measures like the Coronavirus pandemic are required to control these forest fires.

Over the last few years, many parts of the world have witnessed huge and devastating forest fires. There have been massive forest fires in California in the United States, Canada, Siberia in Russia, the Amazon forests in Brazil, European countries, Australia and Turkey. Millions of acres of forests land have been burned down in these fires.   

Some cities and areas of the human settlement also have been hit by some of these fires. The entire town of Lytton in Canada had been destroyed in a forest fire. While expressing concerns over the forest fires in Russia, President Vladimir Putin had said that this was the biggest calamity. Moreover, Climate engineering technology was also used to control forest fires in Russia.   

International experts have claimed that Climate Change is the cause of these forest fires. At the same time, they have warned that the incidence and extent of these forest fires will only increase in the coming times. Against this background, comparing the forest fires with epidemics becomes noteworthy. Professor Stephen Pyne from the Arizona university in the United States said that the forest fires are flaring up like an outburst of an epidemic while comparing the forest fires in Australia, Brazil and the United States.
