US supports Israel’s right to self-defence, reacts White House

Washington: – The White House announced, ‘The United States and Israel concur on the threat to the Gulf sector created due to Iranian aggression. At the same time, President Biden fully supports the Israeli right to self-defence.’ The White House gave this reaction following the meeting between the National Security Advisors (NSA) of the United States and Israel.

A delegation of Israeli security officials is on a visit to the United States. Israeli NSA MeiBen-Shabbat met the US NSA Jake Sullivan to present the stand of the Netanyahu government against the background of the talks started by the United States with Iran regarding the nuclear deal. White House announced that there were serious discussions regarding the Iranian nuclear program between the officials from Israel and the United States during the meeting. White House clarified that US NSA Sullivan gave information regarding the talks being held with Iran, in Vienna, to Shabbat.

Israeli security has always been the central principle of the US policies regarding the Gulf. But since Biden took over as the President, there seems to be a specific deviation from this policy. Israel is accusing that the Biden administration has posed a threat to Israeli security by starting talks regarding Iran’s nuclear deal.

The Israeli delegation led by Shabbat has visited the United States to attempt to bring about a change in this US policy. But White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had already clarified that there would be no change in the US policies, despite the visit of the Israeli delegation.
