US lawmakers action against China over the Wuhan lab leak issue

Washington – US Senator Marco Rubio has started moves to present a bill for imposing sanctions against China. Marco Rubio informed that if China does not cooperate in the investigation into the origin of the Coronavirus pandemic, the bill will be presented in the US Congress. Only a day ago, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan had warned that China would be isolated on the international level if it did not cooperate in the Coronavirus pandemic investigation. Members of the G7 summit had delivered a similar message to China during the recently concluded conference. It is evident that the pressure is mounting on China.

In support of the claim that the Coronavirus spread to the world from the laboratory at Wuhan in China, a lot of information is appearing in the media. Internationally renowned newspapers and researchers have exposed information that Coronavirus was a Chinese bioweapon, and China was working on it for an extended period. Therefore, the claims that Coronavirus is a natural virus are being shelved now, and the entire world is looking at China with suspicion. Moreover, the fact that China had not cooperated with the team sent by the World Health Organisation for an investigation into the Coronavirus pandemic origin has also been exposed to the world.

The effects are now visible, and US President Joe Biden has ordered the intelligence agencies to present a report regarding the origin of the Coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, the opposition leaders in the United States demand that China be castigated on this issue. Republican Senator Marco Rubio also has expressed his suspicion regarding China. Marco Rubio pointed out that if China were interested in finding the truth regarding the origin of Coronavirus, it would have taken action in the last 18 months.

It is clear why China is not doing it. Senator Rubio said that China is worried that the information revealed in the investigation will bring up a huge wave of international wrath against it. Rubio said that, therefore, if China refuses to cooperate in the Coronavirus investigation, he has prepared to impose harsh sanctions against China and indicated that he is working on the bill for that purpose. Rubio has not revealed any details regarding the bill. But there is a strong possibility that the bill will target the Chinese researchers and will stop the US funding to China, and joint research between China and the United States will also be stopped.

The media has claimed that there will possibly be a provision in the bill to impose harsh economic sanctions against China. Rubio demanded that the United States should take steps to compel China to cooperate, not hoping for any cooperation from China. Former President Donald Trump had ordered compensation of USD 10 trillion for the world, including the United States, from China, which is responsible for spreading the Coronavirus pandemic and killing millions of people. Trump had expressed a wish that the United States should pursue this matter.
