US-Saudi conduct first joint counter-drone exercises

This drill held at the capital Riyadh has been claimed to be the beginning of upcoming joint exercises. Moreover, this war exercise becomes noteworthy against the backdrop of reports that cooperation between the Saudis and Iran was about to be established.

Besides, much publicity was not provided for this war exercise between the US and Saudi to keep the outline of this exercise confidential. But only after concluding the drill last week did the US’s CENTCOM (The United States Central Command) reveal information about it. CENTCOM claimed this counter-exercise would greatly help the US and Saudi Arabia’s military. In addition, there have been allegations that the Syrian war and Ukrainian conflict used Iranian drones. Against this backdrop, the US and Saudi seem to have warned Iran by conducting this exercise.

Meanwhile, the US has considered organising similar war exercises with other countries in the Gulf, like Saudi Arabia.
