Washington: Senior US Senator Lindsey Graham warned that the possibility of a new 9/11 attack on the United States has increased with President Biden’s decision to withdraw the military from Afghanistan. This military withdrawal has not ended the war in Afghanistan but instead expanded the war.
Intense reactions have been received from all around the United States following President Biden’s announcement to withdraw the military from Afghanistan. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham expressed a concern that terrorist organisations Al Qaeda and IS will acquire power in Afghanistan, given President Biden’s decision.
The decision of President Biden is making the path more treacherous for Afghanistan. Graham warned that the extremist organisations would unite and the threat to the US security will increase manifold. Graham accused that the decision taken by President Biden is not taken for ending the long-standing war, but instead, it is a decision to make the war more extensive.
