Washington – ‘Ship Killers’- the warship missiles, have been deployed in the Pacific Ocean via US submarines. This also includes the long-range Tomahawk missile, as per the information given by the US Navy Official. As the Chinese Navy has been aggressively dominating this maritime region, the US seems to have taken this step to warn China.
The United States must be capable of dissolving all the Chinese warships in 72 hours, claimed Michèle Flournoy, who is likely to become the next Defense Secretary. Besides, some analysts claim that her nomination as the Secretary indicates of a strong anti-China policy of the Biden administration. Earlier too, Michèle Flournoy, who played an important role in the Defense Department during the presidential term of former US presidents, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama is known to have supported the anti-China policy so far. To avoid war with China, the US will have to develop its military strength by multifold. If so happens, only then will China not dare to act against the US, claimed Flournoy some time ago.
While Flournoy is in talks for her nomination as the Defense Secretary, the anti-China policies laid by her are also being acknowledged. Hence, some people claim that Biden administration’s defence policy will not be any different than Trump’s. Furthermore, a few analysts have expressed faith that Biden’s defence policy will be more aggressive than that of Trump. Against this background, the US Navy has started to deploy ship-killer via its submarines as a strong warning to China.
Also, the news articles published in this regard indicate that the anti-China policy of the United States will be consistent. Moreover, the US Vice Admiral Daryl Caudle has declared the United States’ plan to increase the lethality to submarines deployed in the Pacific Ocean. Thus, this is how the US has sternly warned China that had been threatening it. The US has also made it clear that the Chinese Navy will not be able to foul play in the Pacific region.
Over the last few days, China has been threatening military action to conquer Taiwan. At the same time, it has been aggressively moving in the Indo-Pacific region, especially the South China Sea. Under such circumstances, the US is extra cautious not to let China be under any delusion about the US policy. So, the nomination of Michèle Flournoy, who has taken an aggressive stance against China as US defence secretary, and the movements to increase submarine lethality are known to warn China sternly.
