The Tibetan people recently started protests against the Chinese activities near the LAC in Ladakh and to support of the martyrdom of Commando Nyima Tenzin. The demonstrations were organised in the Jackson Heights area, also known as ‘Little India’, in the city of New York. At this time, the Tibetan protestors gave anti-China slogans. They also prayed for the SFF commando unit of the Indian Army. Former SFF commandos also joined the protests. One of these Tibetan soldiers expressed a wish to again fight for Tibet on the border by saying, ‘The Tibetan people are always with India in the conflict against China.’

The former soldier made it clear that the conflict is on the India-Tibet border and not on the India-China border. Slogans for independent Tibet and ‘Jai Tibet Desh’ were given at this time. Since the last few days, the Indian diaspora is protesting against China in the United States, Canada, European countries, along with the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan, and the participation of the Tibetan people in these protests has seen a significant increase. At the same time, the slogan ‘Jai Tibet Desh’ also is becoming louder.

An SFF unit of the Indian Army achieved the feat of gaining control over the Black Top and Helmet Top hills on the LAC in Ladakh on the night of 29th-30th August. SFF commando Nyima Tenzin was martyred in a landmine blast during the action. The Tibetan people had expressed strong discontent against China during the final farewell to the martyr Nyima Tenzin. The repercussions of the dissatisfaction are being felt all over the globe.
